Wolfe Heavy Equipment manufactures premium equipment for under ground infrastructure installation. We engineer and manufacture equipment from Plow’s to Trenchers that install renewable energy - power transmission lines, water drainage lines, and equipment for the oil and gas sectors.

The Business Development Manager will take charge of developing business solutions to increase revenue. They will be responsible for helping grow the business by finding new opportunities, researching leads, and establishing relationships with potential clients and dealers to ensure consistent year over year revenue growth.

Reports To: General Manager

This is a key role in Wolfe’s growth strategy and requires the right person with the potential to grow, the motivation to excel, and the right qualifications / experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Develop and manage exceptional relationships with our customers/dealers
•Work with Leadership to develop and support growth strategies and plans
•Identify and map business strengths and customer needs
•Identify innovative ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
•Qualify new business prospects and build an active, high potential prospect list
•Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth
•Prepare and present quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects
•Ensure the company maintains a high profile and professional image through active participation in industry association
•Accountable for developing and refining the Wolfe sales pipeline, developing sales KPI’s and facilitating opportunity management meetings
•Implement CRM system
•Develop and implement policies and procedures related to business development, sales
•Maintain in depth knowledge of business/products to educate and advise customers/dealers
•Participate in corporate marketing activities, such as conferences, trade shows and open house events
•Provide knowledge in regards to prospecting, sales planning, selling to customer needs, territory management skills
•Accountable for developing the Wolfe product roadmap
•Develop dealer distribution network to ensure business goals are met
•Using market research, strategically identify and solicit new local and international dealers.
•Assist in predicting dealers’ future needs and devise strategies and action plans to meet those needs, provide training as needed
•Manage the Wolfe brand and social accounts
•Research and implement marketing strategy in line with business goals

  • Business Development or Marketing degree (Postsecondary degree or diploma in business, marketing, economics will be considered)
  • 3-5 years of business development experience
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Proficient motivational, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • International travel required
  • MBA – optional
